Great spot to kayak! Brought my dog here and used the boat ramp for a beautiful day on the water! Plenty of parking and stellar views! Surprises there was no parking/entrance fees too!
What a beautiful park. I really enjoyed it. It has very clean bathrooms and plenty of parking throughout the park. To access the waterfalls just make a turn at the Mine Kill Falls Overlook sign on Route 30 then there will be a green trail it takes about 15 mins going very slowly. The boat/ kayak launch closes on Oct 1 so I'll make sure to come before that next year!
This review is only for the overlook of the waterfall and the waterfall. Very peaceful and tranquil. The over look is a wooden over look, very easy to navigate. The path down to the waterfall is about 15 minutes and the path is pretty easy even for small children. Once down to the waterfall it’s very peaceful. I recommend.
Once you make it down to the falls, it's really pretty. Even in the winter, the scenery can vary a lot depending on how cold it's been: from mostly frozen to fast flowing. The trail down is short but can be tricky if it's cold and the ground is icy. But overall a beautiful experience!
Big state park with several playgrounds, numerous hiking trails, 🚤 boat launch sites.I don’t have time to take a trail trip, just seated at a beach at overlook picnic area. It’s a great place for family fun activities! However, the famous Mine Kill falls is not in park. The Min Kill Falls trail head is on 30A road, before the entrance of state park.
Beautiful little hike. Short walk to get to the look out. A little further down is the falls. There are more trails that I unfortunately did not get to do. Beautiful, clear water.
We had a beautiful day with 77° so we took the dogs on the red trail, moderate nicely marked walk about a half mile but steep. Definitely need proper shoes not sneakers next time.
Mine Kill is Beautiful! The lake is secluded and you can kayak! The kayak rentals were great and my husband enjoyed getting to kayak while I relaxed on the boat lauch. The pool is huge, and we did swim a bit, the water was a little cold. Next time we come, I am definitely going to pack better shoes to be able to walk down to the waterfalls
